What to order
Why go
Ckunna splits the difference between the big dining halls — Adobe among them — and the smaller chef-driven rooms: a relaxed grill with an Andean accent, tables spread over a pleasant patio, and a pisco sour that arrives before you have finished reading the board. It is the rare San Pedro dinner that feels like an evening rather than a stop.
The local-meat tasting — llama, lamb and beef in one go — is the smart order on a first visit: it settles the llama question for US$ 14–24 (≈ CLP 13,700–23,400) without gambling a full plate on it. Ask for a patio table at dusk; after dinner, most stargazing tours pick up from the center, and the timing chains perfectly.
Good to know
Payment: cards fine; pisco sours land fast — pace the altitude.
Reservations: book the patio in high season; inside rarely fills.
Crowds: calmer than Adobe or La Cautiva; a good decompression dinner.
Ask for doneness honestly — llama dries out past medium.
